John and Edward headlined at Blackpool’s Pride Festival yesterday, in a line up which included former XFactor singer Jake Quickenden and Scottish comedians, The Krankies.

The twins performed to a huge crowd made up of fans and non-fans alike, with the majority of those who had not previously liked their music, leaving with a new appreciation. After singing eight songs, including classics such as Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby) and all three of their most recent releases, Free Spirit, Ferocious, and Make Your Own Luck, the Dublin Duo announced that they have recorded a song for the Sharknado 3 soundtrack, entitled, “Oh Hell No”. The song will be released worldwide on July 22 to coincide with the film. More details of this after.

John and Edward flew into Manchester airport yesterday morning, spending time with fans gathered there, many of whom who had not seen them for 6 months or even longer. It was a brilliant day for all involved.

Next week the pair are embarking on the first of several European airport fan meets, taking in Copenhagen, Warsaw, Oslo and Edinburgh. They hope to attend the Much Music Video Awards in Toronto, Canada, next weekend. It will be their third time at the MMVAs, this year co-hosted by Liz Trinnear, Tyrone Edwards, and Ed Sheeran.
