John and Edward announced yesterday that they have recorded the official theme song for Sharknado 3, due for release on July 22, to coincide with the first screening of the film. The track, entitled “Oh Hell No” will be available on iTunes. The twins have a cameo in the film, with Edward saying yesterday at the Blackpool Pride Festival that their role includes a lot of screaming. They are officially credited in the film as “tourists”. Sharknado 3 stars Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, and Cassie Scerbo.

The film will be broadcast in the U.S. on 22 July, on the SyFy network, and the rest of the world the following night. Although made for TV, several cinemas in the U.S. are also showing the film that night.

It is the first time the twins have written a song for a film soundtrack.
