St Vincent de Paul Ireland have today launched their Twin campaign, and invited Ireland’s most famous twins, Jedward, to help out. Running throughout October, the campaign sets out to encourage people to “Donate with style, volunteer with passion”.

Speaking to The Irish Times, John and Edward said that they regularly visited charity shops, and had even purchased the jackets worn on their X Factor audition, way back in 2009, from that very St Vincent de Paul branch, in Sean McDermott St, Dublin.

Edward says that John has a CD obsession, while John added that St Vincent de Paul has definitely fed his collection. Additionally, Edward related about the time he found a leather flight jacket and he used to wear it all the time.

“We used to turn up in school and look the biz, and everyone thought we were loaded, but we weren’t.”
