It was three times a charm for Dublin Duo Jedward, who won in last night’s episode of ‘Pointless Celebrities‘, broadcast on UK channel, BBC One.
‘Pointless’ is a game whereby contestants must provide the most obscure answer they can think of to a particular question – a pointless answer being one which received no responses from 100 members of the public previously surveyed across the UK. The celebrity edition sees four pairs of celebrities battle it out for their chosen charity. John and Edward beat off three other celebrity pairs, which included 70s star Jimmy Osmond, and former footballer Ossie Ardiles.
John and Edward have appeared on the programme twice before, failing to progress to the second round both times. The third time however, they not only cracked the first round, but went all the way, and came close to winning the jackpot for chosen charity Anti-Bullying Pro missing out on scoring a pointless answer by just three points in their chosen category of Dogs at Crufts.
Lucky the pair still managed to win £500 for the charity and take home the coveted winner’s trophy.
We may yet see them compete a fourth time on the programme, as they asked if they could return – with Alexander and Richard agreeing that they would definitely be welcome.
